Today's Program: Club Assembly: 2010-13 Strategic Plan (Sarah Sugden)

Sarah began the session with a discussion regarding the importance of planning for the future of the Waterville Rotary Club and addressing the many challenges that lie ahead for us. She then shared a tool that was developed by RI for clubs to use in developing intermediate and long term plans with the general membership. Those in attendance were randomly assigned to tables and a facilitator was chosen to lead a discussion around the following questions:

Where are we now? What are our strengths and weaknesses?

Where do we want to be at this time in 2013? What will that look like?

How will we get there?

After time was given for the groups to discuss the questions, Sarah facilitated a discussion and documented the comments. These will be reduced to a document that will be considered by a Strategic Planning Committee that is being formed. The plan will hopefully be in place by the time the new Board takes office in July.

The documents that were used for the group discussion can be found posted on the club website (http://www.clubrunner.ca/waterville) under the downloads section.
