Journey in Tanzania, Africa

Samantha Burdick is the Director of Resource Development and Marketing at United Way of Mid-Maine. Samantha graduated from Northeastern University in 2011 with a BA in Political Science and University of Southern Maine in 2012 with a Master’s in Education. Travel and Community Development have been passions of Sam’s for most of her adulthood, and in 2016 she had the opportunity to combine these two passions teaching 3^rd grade at an International School in Moshi, Tanzania. Living in Tanzania helped to change her perspective on culture and community, and her hope is that her story and experiences from living in Tanzania will inspire others and shift the conversation about developing nations.
